v0.1.30222 Sep 2026·Networking, Privacy & Shields

The site you open stays your business, and the browser checks every certificate itself

A privacy and trust release, and the groundwork for the fastest version of the web. The name of the site you visit no longer travels across the network in the clear, a cookie a site drops while riding inside another site can no longer be used to follow you between them, and Floati now checks, entirely on its own, that every site's certificate was published to the public record that catches forged ones. Underneath, Floati has a complete, built-from-scratch implementation of HTTP/3, the newest and fastest web protocol, along with smooth uploads and real-time channels; it is switched on gradually as it proves itself on real networks, so this release is safe for everyone while the speed arrives for you next.

Privacy & Shields	The name of the site you open no longer leaves your device in the clear. Normally, even on an encrypted connection, the very first message still spells out which site you asked for, in the open for your network, your wifi provider or anyone watching to read. When a site supports it, Floati now encrypts that first message too, so an observer sees only a generic name shared by everyone behind the same provider, not the page you actually opened.
Privacy & Shields	A tracker's cookie is now boxed in to the site you are on. When a widget embedded on a page saves a cookie, that cookie is now tied to the top-level site you are visiting, so the same widget appearing on a different site gets a separate, unlinkable cookie instead of one shared marker it could use to join up your visits. Ordinary sign-in cookies for the site itself are unaffected.
Privacy & Shields	Floati verifies every certificate was publicly logged, by itself. Web certificates are meant to be posted to public, tamper-proof logs so that a secretly or wrongly issued one for your bank can be spotted. Floati now checks those published proofs on every single connection, using verification it performs from scratch on your device, and also reads the site's fresh not-revoked proof when the site staples one. For now it records what it finds while the checking is proven against the whole web.
Networking	A complete, from-scratch HTTP/3 is built in. HTTP/3 is the newest web protocol and the one that most helps page loads on flaky and mobile connections; Floati now has its own implementation, written from the ground up rather than borrowed, including uploads that flow smoothly instead of swamping a weak link and a channel for real-time data. It is being switched on in stages as it is proven on real-world networks, so nothing slows down for anyone today.
